Is WordPress (with or without page building plugins) capable of replicating “any” design?

[ad_1]

Hi, I am a .NET dev and my wife is a UI/UX designer and we were thinking of making some webs. She can get quite creative (I don't mean the common developer nightmare design memes, just elaborate solutions) so I am wondering whether I will be capable of replicating these in WordPress somehow. If not, is there some sort of a "guideline" on how to design for WordPress? Thanks.

  1. Yes. WordPress can accommodate any design that is possible to actually build with JS, CSS, and HTML.

  2. Yes, as long as you can go beyond just using a page builder. If you can actually code using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you can make anything happen on a WordPress.

  3. WordPress is just the CMS and an ecosystem. You can make literally any design possible with HTML/PHP, CSS, and JS. If a given design needs to have certain parts hooked up to the CMS in a specific way and work with some data in a specific way, that’d be the only limiting factor for vanilla WP but with PHP and JS you can modify WP however the hell you want. Sky’s the limit.

For custom designs that aren’t following generic design trends, a page builder could be more limiting than helpful without doing a bunch of customization alongside it. For bespoke designs, I think hand rolled themes and templates make the most sense.

  4. If you want a really strong starting point with less of a headache, look at bricks theme. It’s highly recommended
