Hello TheGreyRabbit,
Thank you for contacting Woo support.
Just to clarify, are you referring to specific AS (Autonomous System) codes when you mention AS14618 and AS16509?
I want to make sure I understand your question correctly so I can provide the best possible answer. Could you also provide a bit more context?
Looking forward to your response. 🙂
Best regards
Hi,
Here’s more context – In my Cloudflare Firewall events I see a lot of requests from ASN: AS14618 AMAZON-AES and AS16509 AMAZON-02 using different IPs.
I see those records in the Security > Events section. Strange, but most “visitors” (or bots?) are successfully challenging a custom WAF rule.
Hi @ayo-1
Thank you for providing more context to your question.
In my Cloudflare Firewall events I see a lot of requests from ASN: AS14618 AMAZON-AES and AS16509 AMAZON-02 using different IPs.
The Facebook for WooCommerce plugin does not directly use any specific Autonomous System (AS) numbers like AS14618 or AS16509. These numbers are associated with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and while it’s possible that some services or data centers used by Facebook or WooCommerce might be hosted on AWS, the plugin itself does not directly interact with these AS numbers.
I see those records in the Security > Events section. Strange, but most “visitors” (or bots?) are successfully challenging a custom WAF rule.
These are likely just general web traffic, potentially from bots, that are routed through AWS. If these requests successfully challenge a custom WAF rule, you might need to review your rule settings or consult a network security professional.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
