strange … do you also have that problem if you add a normal https-link (iso httpv) or if you try the shortcode?

I didn’t follow the first part, but yes the shortcode seems to work. I didn’t know there was one. Excellent, thank you. We can use that in these cases.

the problem very likely is that wordpress itself does ‘texturizing’ which results in this behavior, but texturizing is not done on shortcodes, see https://developer.projectdmc.org/reference/functions/wptexturize/ for more info.
