Issues With Implementation of New HTML Home Page to WordPress Dynamic

[ad_1]

Hello everyone,

We’re updating our company website with a new home page design. I’ve asked our developer to:

1. Replace the current home page with the new static HTML version

2. Convert it to a dynamic home page

3. Use the new footer and header from this home page on all existing product pages

However, the developer has informed me that uploading the new home page might delete all our existing internal pages. He suggested two options:

1. Recreate all inner pages on a new site

2. Move all inner pages to a subdirectory

**My questions are:**

1. Is it really necessary to recreate all internal pages? This would significantly expand the project scope beyond just implementing the new home page.

2. Would moving internal pages to a subdirectory cause any problems?

3. If we must recreate all internal pages or move the internal pages to a subdirectory, which one would be the easiest and most cost-effective? Are there any other affordable alternatives?

Thank you for your help.

  1. What is the current site’s tech stack? WordPress? Something static made with dreamweaver? Something else? Your question, as we say in the state of Maine, is about how to get theya from heeea. Please say more.
