I’ve created a custom post type. Now I’d like to associate some custom fields with it. (w/o plugin)

I’m currently looking at migrating some sites from Drupal to WP. Part of the appeal of Drupal is the ease of adding custom fields to post types (nodes).

I know you can add custom fields to WP posts / pages, but what I am looking for is a way of *associating a set of custom fields with a particular custom post type*.

Example might be a custom accommodation type. I would set up custom taxonomies for type / country etc. But I need to have things like “address” and “coordinates”.

I realise I can just add custom fields, but I would like ***specific custom fields on specific custom post types***.
