Kadence Patterns–can’t add to my posts

I use Kadence Pro and am trying to add a pattern to my posts (small block with dynamic content). Every time I try to add a pattern, either by turning the block into a pattern or adding one from my library, my page immediately freezes and has to be killed. How do I resolve this?
