Koko analytics and Lscache cookies loading before consent

[ad_1]

Hi @leofficial,

You can configure the Koko Analytics settings to stop it from setting cookies, navigate to Dashboard > Analytics and set “Use cookie to determine unique visitors…” to No to achieve this.

As for the _lscache_vary cookie, this is a Functional cookie set by the LiteSpeed Cache plugin (https://cookiedatabase.org/cookie/litespeed/_lscache_vary/), and therefore you shouldn’t have to remove or block it. It’s an important part of the LiteSpeed Cache tool and could result in unexpected behavior if removed.

Kind regards, Jarno

@jarnovos Okay. Is there anyway to block Koko till consent with cookies?
Or is there no option for that?

Hello @leofficial,

You could try adding koko-analytics/assets/dist/js/script.js under Complianz > Integrations > Script Center > Block a script, iframe or plugin. Make sure to enable your integration when you’re done, by using the slider/toggle.

That would block Koko Analytics prior to consent, and therefore it’s cookies as well, but you would need to test whether that still behaves as you expect it to.

Kind regards,
Jarno

@jarnovos Great. Thank you for working on this. Will try and if not working will disable the cookies.
