Hi,
I’m new to launching sites and could use some help! Here’s the situation, both sites are on the same SiteGround account.
xyz-1.com is the clients current site.
xyz-2.com is the new site built on the same siteground account, temporary domain, has its own “site tools” and everything.
The primary domain (xyz-1.com) is on Network Solutions, and already pointing to the current site (-1.com) via NameServers. I need to move the primary domain (xyz-1.com) over to be the primary domain of xyz-2.com on SG. What are the steps I need to take to do that and make sure everything is transferred over properly?
Appreciate any help!

chat Siteground support they’ll help you. You have to remove the domain from the 1st install, to use it on the second. It’s a pain, but their support team is excellent. Jump through their hoops to get to the support chat, which is harder to get to than it needs to be, but you can do it.
Why not just migrate site -2 to site-1? Install Updraft on -2, backup the site and download the files. Install Updraft on site -1, upload the files and restore. It is literally a few clicks and less than 10 minutes, unless the site is huge.
If the domain is already pointed to Siteground’s namervers, can you unassign it from xyz1.com and then assign it to the environment for xyz2.com?
