Limitations with Email sends through WordPress

[ad_1]

Good morning, we have a new job board site built on a great WordPress theme. There are a ton of internal emails that send trough it, thanking for applying, job alerts, etc… These all get sent right through WordPress, we haven’t attached Mailchimp (yet). My question is… what are the limitations of emails through WordPress? Right now, we just have basic hosting through GoDaddy, and are amazed at how much we are able to do with stock templates. I just want to be prepared for any send limits, etc, that I don’t know about

  1. WordPress uses PHP to send emails. I’ve found that it can be a little hit or miss.

You can set up WordPress to use SMTP to send emails through your email hosting provider.

A popular plugin is this one – [https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/])

    Hope this helps 🙂

p.s. try to get away from GoDaddy if you can. They charge you per email address, whereas hosting through companies such Krystal Hosting give you unlimited email as standard. I’ve also found GoDaddy customer service leave a lot to be desired.

  2. That depends on your hosting plan, so ask Godaddy, and I would advice you to go find a better hosting than Godaddy. Cloudways, WPEngine, Kinsta to name few, even Dreamhost is better than Godaddy.

  3. I’m using titan email for my small business as its affordable than premium gmail or whatsoever they called it.
