Link Custom Field Values to Search

[ad_1]

Orignially I wanted to create a few custom taxonomies for my listing post type (Specialisms, Subjects, Ages Supported), so that when I output those, I can have each term linked to the archive page for the term, which will display all listings with that taxonomy.

However..I don’t see an easy way to create a custom taxonomy for GD, so my question is – I’m using the custom fields instead, but there’s no way to “link” those terms to an archive page like you could categories/tags.

In an ideal world…instead of using archive pages, each term would just link back to the search page with that value as a parameter.

For example, if you look at the current page:

Under teh “Specialisms” section, all those terms are linked to the archive page. When set up with geodirectory, each of those terms would be linked as a search parameter. So if I clicked Anxiety, it would take me to geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=%20&snear=&specia%5B%5D=Anxiety

(that search link isn’t active, but that’s what I would like to achieve)

Can you see any way with this plugin to achieve either of those things? A link to an archive page for each term/, or link to search, using either taxonomies or custom fields?

Thanks!
