I get rhe value of adding the data attributes to the anchor tags but, I’m having this issue that everytime I add a data-id my firewall throws a 401 error. Is there anyway I can remove the data-id from the content field in the wp-json request?

A better option be to add an exception rule in your firewall. It’s unusual that a firewall would block that specific tag/attribute.
