A year ago I used to be able to copy from the browser address bar the info of the first image in the gallery and use that as a link to the gallery on another website i own. The link looked somthing like the this
https:// my website/web site page with the gallery on it#&gid=1&pid=1
But now when that link is clicked the gallery opens up on the second image in the gallery and its address looks like this
https:// my website/web site page with the gallery on it#&gid=1&pid=11
I then swipe to the next image and its address ends in #&gid=1&pid=111 and not the correct image number. I cannot swipe any further to the rest of the images in that gallery. But I can go backwards and after #&gid=1&pid=1 the image numbers are correct.
Sorry this is long winded. This is with version 4 the story is even worse with version 5 as there is no extra id for the gallery in the browser – this bit (#&gid=1&pid=1 ) so the first image address is the same as its parent page.
