Live Ajax Seach doesn’t find ACF and Meta data fields

I love the speed and utility of the Live Ajax Search plugin and would like to replace Ivory Search – a good plugin in it’s own right, but bloated and more complex than we need.
However, LAS doesn’t search within ACF fields.. is there a function that can be used to allow LAS to search ACF / Post Meta data fields? Also, some of these ACF fields are with Custom Post Types.. so we need to make sure they are searchable.
