Local by Flywheel – how to get the site live on WordPress?

[ad_1]

Hi all! I’m a newbie, so forgive me if I phrase something wrong. I just finished up with my first WordPress site which I was developing with Local by Flywheel. The process of using it was awesome! But after exporting the site into a zip file I am so lost on how to get it to WordPress for my client. My client did have a site previously that can be completely overwritten by this one. But when I tried to import into WordPress it says I need a WXR/XML file. What are the next steps I need to take? Thank you to anyone who can/does help 🙂

  1. Hi, how did you export the site? I recommend using a migration plugin. It will reduce human errors and make it very easy.
My top recommendation is WPVivid. The easiest way to migrate your site to a destination is using WPVivid’s [Auto-Migration])
