localhost doesn’t show images on public internet

[ad_1]

hello there, i have mounted my website on my localhost using xampp and packetriot, but, apparently, the images used on wordpress are not showed publicly (outside the local host computer) I change the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) on wordpress config, this seems to work just for the title logo, but not for all the other images, and besides that, when I change those addresses, i cannot longer login, so i have to change the addresses from myphpadmin. can somebody help me with this issue?

  1. Is your computer accessible to the public internet?

If so, then the images can’t have a “local” address (like blah.local) because that won’t work when coming from outside your PC – they need to have public addresses (ie ‘proper’ URLs)

  2. There are workarounds for this…but it’s far easier and less complex to just use a staging server. Go from local > staging > live.
