I’m hoping somebody might be able to help me here. I have just migrated my website from its test server to its new hosting environment. It’s a different domain and server.
Everything went smoothly, however when I try to sign up for an account as a front end user, or when I click the password reset, things are not working properly.
It sends an email to the user to ask them to reset their password. But then when they click on the link, it takes them to the initial password reset screen again.
When a user tries to create an account now, (on the front end) instead of having to go to their email to confirm, it just lets them right into the site. I’ve migrated hundreds of websites and have never had this issue and I cannot figure out what is causing it. On the test server everything is working fine, but on the live server it’s not.
I’m using siteground for the first time because of a bunch of recommendations here and just keep having issues. Google won’t verify the domain, I’ve been on with support for the last 24 hours and they are pretty nice, but I’m not having much luck with this. If anybody has any suggestions or ideas I would be eternally grateful to you!
