Hello, I’m super new to WordPress. I’m trying to help out a friend and am more than confused right now.
**Context**:
* Brand new WordPress site
* Has a “Request a quote” form
* Haven’t decided on a Form Builder yet
* Open to paying for any of the available options if they solve this problem.
**Goal**:
* The dropdown fields in the “Request a quote” form should be populated from an external API call (Square API that returns a list of all products/services in JSON)
* The overall intended flow is:
– User opens the form
– Form loads the dropdown values by calling the Square API (products/services)
– User submits the form
– Form is submitted to a Zapier webhook
– Zapier does its thing (business logic)
**What I need help with**:
* A lot of the form building tools/plugins I’ve looked at only support these kinda of dynamic field values from a CSV, Taxonomy or database, but I couldn’t find anything that allows field values being pulled from an API.
* I’d really appreciate if you could please guide me in the right direction.
**Something else I’ve considered**:
If there is no form builder that supports this, then I’m considering writing a server function that calls this Square API daily and updates a table with the current list of services/products, and then the form builder can use those fields. However, overall, I’m really looking for something that requires minimal setup/maintenance and hopefully just works out of the box.
