I have recently noticed lots of discussions regarding what themes or page builders people prefer – also about the new block concept.
Honestly, I’ve been using astra theme / elementor up until now for few of projects, and it worked fine for my clients who really only need basic stuff and a way to modify content on their own, but for my next project I would want something less restrictive. For example, I would like to write my html/css/js (minimal php as i dont need lot lof functionality beside blog) code in code editor. Maybe I just didn’t know how to do stuff with themes and wp, but I felt like doing stuff like mobile navigation menu, or 3-level dropdown menu was really weird to do, and always demanded some external plugins to be downloaded.
Tbh while writing this, I don’t even know if WP is right for the job. The reason for picking WordPress was mostly due the fact that the blog functionality coms out of the box and it has CMS.
So basically I wonder what theme with page builder or without / tool is best for customised design where I build html and css from scratch – but have blog functionality with CMS for writing blog posts?
Hope it makes any sense – always feel weird when writing this type of posts, as if I have no clue what Im even asking -so if that’s the case – I apologise! <3
