I am in the process of building a very simple WP site for my neighborhood HOA, would love to avoid as many mistakes as possible and looking for recommendations on best plugins to use.
The basic features I would like to have are:
1. front page blog with additional public pages for history, events, etc
2. a page for paying dues for registered users only
3. a page with a forum for members only
My site is currently at GoDaddy, I will eventually move it as it seems GoDaddy is really not the best place for anything these days. I was at Media Temple, but got moved over to GoDaddy.
I plan to have an SSL cert, it seems the only way to do this without having to refresh the cert every 90 days is by using CloudFare
Would love recommendations n plug ins for signing up the local home owners so they have access to a private area to pay annual dues and see/download board meeting notes.
