The issue with our site is it is too clunky from having multiple developers mess with the code, and not maintaining it properly.
We want to start from scratch but our content can be repurposed for the new site.

We want it to look cleaner, but we don’t need a full on redesign. Just a bit better.

What’s your budget look like
I’m available to help with this. Let’s discuss in DM and maybe schedule a call
Spending $1500 to rebuild from scratch will change clunky code from multiple developers into clunky code from a single developer. Except that developer will almost certainly reuse code from the old site and so it will still be clunky code from multiple developers.
If you want well written code you have to be willing to pay the price. For reference, my firm bills me out at $170 an hour and an ecom build is generally around $25k on the low end.
Frankly, at least on mobile your site isn’t that bad from a ui/ux perspective. But if you want to up the quality, you’ve got to be willing to spend more otherwise you’ll find yourself in the same position with just one more shitty devs code in the mix.
LOL
Your website is using a theme called Calmes. The UI looks decent but has some issues in certain areas where the text is overlapping, like when I try to add to Cart some products, and the check box for promotional emails on the checkout page.
The major problem on your website is that it is built with Elementor, which is bundled with the theme that your website is using. You can build websites using Elementor but I would never use that for a professional website.
Firstly because it generates a lot of bloat which slows the site down and gives you a bad score on Google Page Insights and other websites that use metrics to gauge site performance. Your site got a 19 out of 100 for performance on mobile when I checked on Google Pagespeed insights just now.
Such scores are not good for SEO
And the alignment issues on your website are going to give issues when it comes to user experience.
The reason I’m saying this is because you don’t want a full redesign, however, if you want to eliminate issues with your website, you will need to build it from scratch without using something like Elementor. It is completely possible to make a site better with Elementor, and even make decent money off of such a website, but it’s just not the best practice and you will still continue to face issues with your website because there are problems with the theme that has been installed on your site.
And if your developers said that they’ve coded this website, then I’m afraid they’ve not been honest because Themes bundled with Elementor barely have the need for developers to code things. I’m not saying they didn’t do any coding, just that it’s unlikely they’ve done any extensive coding.
If you want decent work done, it’s going to cost you more than $1500. If you’re really tight on that budget, the best thing would be to go with a reliable WordPress theme that has good support like Astra or OceanWP. Your UI may not look as good as it does right now, but your UX will be much better, and your conversion rates will be higher.
A good user experience and seamless browsing experience make a bigger impact on business revenue than a UI that makes you go wow.
Let me know if you have any questions, I’d be happy to help
Edit: I just realised I’m using my other account here, that username does not sound professional at all😅
If I were you, I wouldn’t spend a dime changing this site if it’s making sales.
Not that the site is any good, but your budget is only going to make things worse. Look at it from a mathematic perspective. Your site uses Elementor, which means you will have to completely rebuild everything to get rid of it. Plus all the existing data is going to have to be imported then synced so you don’t lose any order info. Plus you’ll have to configure the e-comm and integrate it with whatever services you are currently using, and you have to replace the crappy code that multiple devs have added to the site.
Assuming a very low $50/hr rate for someone halfway decent (my agency bills $150/hr), you only have 30 hours worth of budget to do all of that. It’s going to take a lot more than 30 hours to do all of that. Chances are you’re going to get a total hack if they are willing to do it at that price. You’re better off with the site you know, than whatever crap you get for $1500.
