As the title says, I am trying to migrate a wordpress website from my organizations development server on dreamhost over to a client’s domain in Ipower (bluehost). There are multiple wordpress websites on the server already so I can’t use the built-in wordpress installer. That being said, I manually installed a clean wordpress install into the directory through FTP and everything works great. I get the initial wordpress setup screen upon visiting /wp-admin and after doing that I get a brand new dashboard.
This is where the issues start. My organization uses All-in-one WP migration. We have for years and have never had any issues, except now. After the migration is completed all I get is an internal server error whenever I try to visit either the site or through the /wp-admin login. I get nothing.
Here’s what confuses me. I go in through FTP and change the name of the ‘plugins’ folder in the wp-content folder so that the site doesn’t recognize it and then everything loads perfectly (minus half of the functionality on the front-end of my site since it technically doesn’t have any plugins). But as soon as I change the folder name back to normal so that wordpress recognizes the plugins folder, it only throws the internal server error again.
I feel so lost. Not sure where to go from here. I would prefer to continue using AIO migration and find a solution while still using that if possible, but am open to other (free) options if need be.
Thanks all! I can provide additional information upon request if it will help solve the issue.
