Hi all! I am a designer that previously worked with an overseas developer for more involved things. We started a project together in August of 2022 and it was delayed several times. Since the delay the developer has gone on hiatus and I can’t get a hold of him.
We’ll, the site is ready for launch now and I’m stuck.
Essentially the site is built on a subdomain using my hosting and I want to migrate the site and drop the subdomain.
I’ve done this before with previous sites, but it was when the site was built from scratch and a brand new launch. The issue and concern that I’m having now is that I don’t want to interfere with the emails at all.
Is this possible? Someone have some time to help and I can PayPal you a few bucks.

Are you moving to a new server ?
If not, just point the domain to the dev server, and change the domain settings in WP Settings.
Then install Better Search Replace to replace your dev URLs with the live URL eg [https://dev.example.com](https://dev.example.com) > [https://example.com](https://example.com)
If you ARE moving to a new server, install WPVivid on the dev server AND spin up WP on the live server, then install WPVivid on there too. Then use their Automigrate (https://docs.wpvivid.com/auto-migration.html) feature to do the transfer. Domain names will be changed automatically.

Yea and I wonder why the dev ‘suddenly’ disappeared.
Just use the Duplicator plugin. It’s great and most of the time it works really well!
