I'd like to create a Yelp-style directory for a specific niche, where businesses are listed and users can rate and review them.
Ideally, at some point I'd include some kind of community discussion feature, as well as online ordering for food…
This would start as a labor of love with no expectation of making money off it, I just want to support the community.
I'd be willing to invest up to maybe $1k in the short to mid-term, and more if people actually start using the site. I'd expect maybe a couple dozen core users to start but have dreams of thousands using it. So ideally whatever solutions I use are scalable to a more serious website!
How would I best accomplish this with a WordPress site? Thanks in advance for any help!
