Looking for Multi-vendor multisite solution

[ad_1]

Hi everyone, I work for a small agency and we are looking for a woocommerce based solution which allows us to add multiple suppliers who will be uploading their product catalogs, and it should also be compatible with multisite because we plan to make multiple front-ends with different domain names for different locations. Here is what we are looking to achieve:

* We will have 5-10 wholesale suppliers who will be adding their catalogs to the e-commerce backend with wholesale pricing.
* Then we will be showing all of these products on multiple websites that look completely different, and target different locations, and they will have the retail prices + shipping & handling charges for each product.
* When an order comes in any of the sites, it will be passed on to the corresponding wholesaler who will fulfil the order.
* Once the order has been fulfilled, we will wait for 14days to pass, and then we will deduct our cut, send the wholesaler their price + shipping & handling charges, and the retailer will get their cut for making the sale.

The end retailer will not be able to add their own inventory or product lineup to their stores, they will only be selling the wholesalers’ products. Is there a wordpress/woocommerce solution out there that can help us achieve this setup??

  1. This isn’t a kind of website you can be talked into how to create it. Look for a developer to help you achieve this. I can set this up tho.

  2. It can be done, but there’s nothing out of the box that’ll do all of that. First of all, woocommerce installs on multisite are isolated for the most part. They can be synced for sure but there isn’t a master backend per se. The multiple websites as in different domain names?

Sounds to me like you’re looking to white label whoever the retailers are. So you could either implement automation to sync things or, and this is a more sensible approach, make one site, one WordPress install. No multisite. Then use a bit of code (or plugin) to change the theme based upon the domain name used to access it. That’ll make it look different for each one. Set the cookie to one of the domains in wp-config so there’s no login issues and you’ve got everything you need.
