Looking for some advice

[ad_1]

So my situation is the following. I am planning on making a simple website for promoting a holiday rental space for my parents. I figured the fastest way to get some (non advertising driven) advice about which host to use would be to ask here. Other advice is also welcome. Is wordpress even the best option?

Initially the website can be very simple, just a few pages to show off the properties to people that might want to rent. Later on perhaps we might want to allow people to book through this website also and maybe do some SEO.

I do not have a lot of experience with wordpress or webdev in general, but I did study computer science and have software dev experience so its not really an issue if things get technical although its nice if my parents can easily edit things as well.

I prefer solutions that do not restrict me too much. Its nice if there is a nice and easy gui to make the website with, but I like having the option to go beyond that if needed (without having to pay for extra features).

Thanks in advance.

  1. yes wordpress is a very cost effective way to do this. I can recommend you some plugins to achieve this. But i need to know if this is a static site.or a dynamic site

  2. If you can make the site static you could host it for free on Cloudflare pages or alternatively, almost free on DigitalOcean or AWS (although personally I would advise DigitalOcean over AWS as the latter’s interface is a disaster). This would also mean you wouldn’t need to maintain it from a security perspective.

  3. WordPress and use a page builder like bricks.
Host it on managed hosting like siteground or wp engine.
    And that’s it
