Hi. This might sound stupid but I don’t know where to go.
I got a web domain and went to WordPress to build a website. I paid $480 for the entrepreneur plan I believe and another $80 for a third party theme, which I activated within the WordPress dashboard and the pertinent plugins. The point being, I poured money and progress into this.
Today I went to WordPress to work on the site when I had been logged out. Chrome didn’t save my login details so I figured fine, I’ll just reset my password. I put my email in and they sent a login link to my email. But I never received it. I tried countless times to no avail.
I found a link to help recover accounts where I provided a transaction code that is in my American Express statement but haven’t heard back. I’m truly confused as to how I ended up in this situation and even more on how to fix it. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been trying to get ahold of a live person at WP but no luck so far. Any suggestions on that too would be great.

You’re talking about [Wordpress.com](https://Wordpress.com), who are a hosting company. It is different to “WordPress”, the open source software (which is what this sub is about).
Only [Wordpress.com](https://Wordpress.com) support can help you I’m afraid.
I’d highly recommend you consider getting yourself some “proper” WordPress hosting, with a company that has good support, with real humans (eg SiteGround, WPEngine), which also gives you full access to your server and all features of WordPress.
