Hi, I’m in the final stages of planning a launch of a local/regional blog/magazine site with a forum. Domain, hosting and theme aside, I am struggling to find relevant advice for any realistic checks I need to do on such a small scale (up to 1000 unique visits daily, realistically up to 500).
Good example for the above are generally recommended or must have plugins often shared here, which are valid and extremely useful but do not apply at all to this level or budget.
I launched and developed a WP site few years ago and this one will be similar (custom child theme of a bestseller theme) so I understand the basics, have a few checklists on what to check before launch, and can differentiate whether I really need that awesome $100 plugin or will I be able to find a cheaper alternative. This is mainly due to it being my personal project, and not for a client so sometimes the choice will come down to a simple “is it good enough for now?”.
But my main issue here is am I missing something which is a use case only for smaller sites? If anyone has any helpful links or advice, please let me know. Thank you!
