Main page shows each post in full instead of an excerpt

Hi @poetryisnotdead,

The site you’re linking to is running Baskerville 2, which is a WordPress.com version of Baskerville developed by the WordPress.com theme team. The code in it is completely different than the code in the regular Baskerville theme, so I can’t provide support for it here. You should probably reach out to WordPress.com support.

If you’re running a self-hosted WordPress installation, you can also install the regular Baskerville theme, which shows excerpts on the archive pages by default. There could be some other differences between Baskerville 2 and Baskerville that you don’t want, though.

(The setting in Settings → Reading only controls how content is presented in RSS feeds – not on the front-end of the site.)

Ah, thank you for the tip of not being the regular Baskerville theme! I’ve since changed the site to that theme to it and problem solved.

Thank you!! 🙂
