Managing Clients

[ad_1]

I built a website development company. My plan is to build WordPress websites for clients using elementor.

I use GoDaddy managed WordPress for hosting my current 5 sites. I love it because of the security, flexibility, maintenance, and backup. This year I found out to renew those sites, it’s going to cost me over $800.

Let’s say I create websites for 5 more clients. What is the best route for hosting, how can they manage their own hosting and domain? How can I create the website for them to manage. At a lower cost. And still have the support of backup and security.
Is there something better I can do working with clients?

I’ve been building WordPress websites for a few years but now I’m expanding to help others. Any other tips to help me on this new journey?

  1. Sell it as a solution – design coalst then xx per month as a managed solution

  2. Try r/hosting or r/webhosting.

You can go with Flywheel or WP Engine and have them manage their own accounts while granting you access. You have access to support and don’t have to manage much.

I just landed on Cloudways and love it. Scaleable managed WP, all the bells and whistles I need.

  3. Try hostens.com, ive never had an issue with then and they offer affordable vps and shared hosting.

  4. Are those managed hosting plans? Godaddy was always too slow for me.

You should push off the hosting to the client if you can’t roll your own system. Or get something really cheap like hostgator.

    Flywheel is nice, more expensive.

Or kinsta they have a referral deal you can make.

    Or wpengine.

  5. Cloudways with CloudFlare with bricks builder. Secure, fast, and easy. I pump out sites

  6. Most of my clients are small business owner with low traffic. Therefore I use shared hosting.
Option 1: let them book the domain themselves
Option 2: you can resell the hosting, if they do not want to do anything.

For managing all my clients I use mainwp in the free version with a backup tool connecting to ftp/pCloud or gdrive.

  7. Instead of godaddy, move them to Cloudways. You can get a 4GB server and have like 12 websites on there. Much more secure, and their support is phenomenal.
