I did not see the topbar on your site, you turned it off because of this error I suppose?
If you created a new API key and still get this error, it might be that the Mailchimp firewall is blocking your hosting server’s IP address, although that normally gives you a 504 error not a 403….
With the reference code you can ask Mailchimp support what the reason is.
