Merging two WooCommerce sites together

[ad_1]

Working on an interesting project of needing to merge two different WooCommerce websites together.

* Site A has 4 products, 3 downloadable/virtual, 1 simple physical product.
* Site B has 4000+ products, all downloadable/virtual, as well as Subscription products going on.

I’m trying to figure out the best approach to bringing over the order/product data from Site A into Site B, as we don’t want to worry about migrating subscriptions, etc.

Both Websites are built using the Avada theme, so pages/posts and such are not my concern, my only concern is with making sure the users/order data is migrated in a mostly seamless way.

To make things just a bit trickier, there is some overlap between users, meaning the same email was used to register an account on both Site A as well as Site B.

Has anyone done this before? Anything special I should worry about?

  1. Create a local hosted version that you can mess around with, then export the products from one site to the other and see if it works as intended. If not, you can always start over, as local version aren’t publically accessible anyway.
