I paid for WP Migrate to move my exported localsite from LocalWP to overwrite the old (remote) site. In hindsight I shouldn’t have done that but it’s mostly fixed since I got the images back, necessary plugins, etc (I didn’t use that many to begin with.)
For the person I’m working with, originally, I asked for their hosting information and they said GoDaddy and gave me their login. Looking in further they’re not hosted with GoDaddy, just their domain registration, but GoDaddy told me it’s Hostinger (the person I’m working with wasn’t sure.)
Biggest issue is everything else migrated (mostly, I had to fix the plethora of images), but now just the homepage still has the old site content. Other nav menu links go to the new site design I believe because they had the same name/slug?
For a new user visiting, they see the old homepage. When logged in to wp-admin, I see the new homepage and no traces of the old homepage at all. I can’t even edit the old one, all edits go to the new homepage.
Also, there’s a custom html block that won’t show up (widget from Givebutter) but that’s a separate/non-issue.
Would Hostinger help to correct this? I’ll hopefully be getting that login information tomorrow. Anything on my end I could do?
Thanks!
