I’m in the process of migrating a clients Squarespace website to WordPress. I set up an install on my localhost using WAMP and manually recreated a bunch of their simple pages (landing, bio, etc.), I opened their blog in Squarespace and noticed they have a ton of content here. Has anyone out there developed locally and migrated their work to a live host? I see WordPress.com offers a migration tool specifically for Squarespace, but this is obviously a .org WordPress site and it seems most people out there just use a plugin for this (I’ve seen either duplicator or All-in-one). This client has not done anything in regards to seo, so I’m not too concerned with that. I’m more concerned with the technical details of links when I move to a live host and stuff of that nature. Before I go into manually recreating their posts in WordPress, has anyone out there encountered any issues developing in this way? Any insight would be appreciated!

There’s no need to manually recreate anything – a quick google will show you how to perform a migration eg [https://wpengine.com.au/resources/squarespace-to-wordpress/#Step_3_Export_Squarespace_Content](https://wpengine.com.au/resources/squarespace-to-wordpress/#Step_3_Export_Squarespace_Content)
I moved from local to live without using any plugin. If you are comfortable with technical things and especially WordPress, it shouldn’t be difficult. There is a blog by jetpack that was very helpful
