migrating issues with backup

[ad_1]

i only have the site backup but not the database. is it not a big deal its just a website holding my business contact info and junk so i dont mind retyping it. but did i need the database part cause i didnt download that. im at the pfp my admin part and just wondering what i should do when i wake up later today either continue trouble shooting this or just retype it all both will be time consuming but least 1 will have a gaurantee i imagine

also i was cringe and deleted the original site/hosting plan so just got the new hosting plan, website backup but no dataBase nothing else

  1. If you don’t care about retyping all content again, then it’s not really much of an issue. But if you had loads of plugins configured, then all of those options will be lost and you’ll need to set them all up again.

In future, you’ll need both a backup of the files (i.e. your public directory where all your WordPress files are located) & an export of the database.
