About 10-11 years ago my wife and I made a website. It has some “custom stuff” including CSS, but honestly I can’t remember what we did. It is a customized version of a theme, though. It’s mostly dormant now but I cleverly thought I’d move our hosting (and other sites) from Bluehost to Dreamhost. I migrated using Updraft to backup at Bluehost and then Restore at Dream host.
I worked with tech support at DH (who were quite great, btw) and then basically my theme was busted so they put me on the default theme to get the site up and running. So now I’m trying to debug this theme. I do know that this PHP version is newer than the old host, 8.1 vs 7.4. I \*think\* WP was fully updated at least to 6.0 on the old host. Not sure what else is different.
First, the theme crashes in the “Live Preview” with a “critical error on website”. My first question is, if I enable the debug logging in WP, does it work for testing in the “Live Preview” mode?
If not, how best to tackle this?
