Missing from the Docs: Header cleaner, Canonical URL, “rel” links

[ad_1]

I have a well-optimized website and I like to keep things very light-weight and simple. I’ve been looking for a way to add Facebook and Twitter meta tags without installing huge and complex plugins, and Slim SEO seems do to this and a lot of other important SEO stuff. I will install the plugin soon, but first I want to ask the developer if he plans to update the official documentation in the near future?

On the Slim SEO plugin page there is a screenshot of all the features that can be enabled or disabled. Two of them, i.e. Canonical URL and “rel” links, are not mentioned in the official documentation.

Also, in the “Disable Features” chapter in the documentation, there is an option called Header cleaner. This feature is not described anywhere (and for some reason, it does not appear on the screenshot on the plugin page). After some googling, I found dedicated header cleaning plugins which strip out a lot of information from the header (e.g. query strings from all static resources). Maybe this is what Slim SEO’s Header cleaner feature does? It would be good to know exactly what Slim SEO removes from the header.

PS: Thanks for making this plugin! Please continue to keep it light-weight and easy to use. 🙂
