There has been a massive influx of users posting here lately with little to no karma (sometimes NEGATIVE karma) or account history. Almost every time, the question has to do with which theme to use, what plugins are the most popular, or people asking how to learn WP. In some cases, it’s “professionals” who seemingly made a reddit account just to post.
I think imposing a minimum karma requirement would cut down on all the 1st grade level posts here. Has this ever been discussed? Is it something the mods and the community would be open to doing?

I’m not a mod, but I don’t really have a problem with newbies (I am one myself as well). Just wish there was a better way to make it more obvious to newcomers that majority of the users here work with wordpress.org, and not wordpress.com.
