That’s a good question. Right now, this part of the theme only works with post categories. The tricky part with CPT’s is knowing which custom taxonomy to use, or to just grab the most recent four posts/podcasts. It might be clearer to include a widget there instead that grabs podcast episodes based on the CPT or ones that you hand-select to promote.

Are you suggesting the widget be added within the post content? Or is there a hook I can use to add it automatically to these posts and mimic the theme functionality?
I see your point, and luckily I don’t need to target any taxonomy, just the most 4 recent podcasts would be fine.
In the Appearance > Widgets menu, there’s a widget area called “Ad Spot – After Post Content” and any widget placed there will show up right after the content of every post on the site, including CPTs.
