The theme set on the WP Themes screen is the one that is shown to all regular visitors.

Then you can use Theme Switcha to switch to other themes for the admin user.

But isn’t opposite way more useful?
Showing a maintenance theme selected by the plugin to guests and keeping the theme selected in Themes for admins?
Widgets will be messed up on some themes when it’s switched in Themes.

“Useful” is relative but I get your point. I’ll take a look at maybe adding something like this in a future update. Thank you for the feedback, @ashf.
