I need some help! I created a site on [wordpress.com]) with my domain (purchased elsewhere). I then deleted that site and created a new [wordpress.org]) site with BlueHost and am using the same domain. I updated the DNS records to the new host.
Now, when I visit the site, I see the old site’s content, not the content from the new site.
On my Mac computer, this happens in Safari and Chrome, but not Firefox. Firefox shows the correct content. I did a MacOS DNS flush and that didn’t fix it.
On my iPhone, this happens in Safari and Chrome both on WIFI and on cellular.
On my wife’s iPhone, the correct content is showed in Safari on wifi.
I am perplexed – what the heck is going on?
EDIT: more info:
This has been the case for about 6 hours now, and I just did a hard refresh in Chrome and still nothing, interestingly.
I did just try going to the site on another compute on my network and in chrome it gave me a “Your connection is not private” error message. I think something weird is going on here, but I can’t figure it out and the host was also no help (it is all working properly for them).
Is there something with my network / ISP / etc that could be causing this?

Sounds like normal caching. It should fix itself after a few hours. You can also flush the cache manually by doing a hard refresh in the browser.
DNS records can take a while, sometimes up to 24 hours, to propagate across the internet.
You can check status here:
Be sure to change the dropdown from “A” (A records) to “NS” (nameservers).
Is this still happening rn?
