Moving from WPEngine to BlueHost

[ad_1]

I have a portfolio website for my company. It does not get a lot of traffic. Only whenever a potential client may want to check out our work.

I initially picked WPEngine a few years ago because I wanted the site to load instantly. I don’t want client to wait around. However, business has been slow and the $300/year is becoming tough to sustain.

I already have a BlueHost Plus account for a hobby project of mine and was wondering if I should just move my WPE there before it renews later in February.

I have two questions:

1) will BlueHost still give me fast loads or will performance suffer? Again I do not have lord of traffic (WP engine shows 5593 billable visits for the entire last year…) but I would want my site to load fast when a client loads it.

2) Is it difficult to move a WordPress site from one host to another? I have never attempted this. What do I need to look out for?

Thanks for all your thoughts!!!
