My client has an already existing website build in jimdo with their URL attached to it. What happens, if I change the URL of WordPress Website I’ve build into the same one my client is currently using?

Hello, I’ve never encountered this problem before and I’m truly helpless. The situation is as following: Client has a throwaway URL running on Mittwald (German Provider). The newly WordPress built website is running on this URL. The old, still active website in running on jimdo (Provider and Webservice).

How do I solve this issue? The client wants to keep their current URL. Do I go on to jimdo and unlink first?

I appreciate any help. If my question sounds confusing, I’m sorry I don’t know how else to describe this issue.
