Hi all, usually i’m able to work these things through but i’m aa bit stumped. I have a customer site that is currently on a shared hosting platform. The package the site is on has more than enough disk space, is shared with one other very small site also based on wordpress however this speed issue does not affect the other tenant. This smaller site though is less than 20% the size (footprint and throughput) of the site i’m having issues with.
Edit: The site is an eCommerce site, service around 50 products, processing up to 10 orders per day. So relatively small.
I’ve attached a few images from the host, i’m capturing some stats via network traces and Query Monitor, i’ll upload these shortly.
The template used is a free one, heavily customised to suit and we noticed a ssignificant slow down following an update to it a while ago; the cynic in me thinks that the developer has slowed things down and offered a beter experience with a paid version. We aren’t against paying for the template but would like to understand if that would help or if we are better cutting our losses and re-platforming onto something like Kadence, Astra, etc.
Thanks!
