My WordPress site defaults to an Archives page when it opens

Hi, as above, really. I’ve started building a simple WordPress site (using Elementor, not sure if that’s relevant) and when the site opens it takes you to a (blank) Archives page. I just want it open on the homepage. Any ideas? Thanks for any thoughts (& sorry if I’m asking a really obvious question!)
