I am a freelance developer. I built a custom WordPress site for a client. I continue to do paid work here and there for them. For a number of reasons, I need to exit the relationship. I’ve never done this before, so I don’t know what to expect or if there are best practices I should follow?
What are the pitfalls, the things I haven’t thought of, that could happen when I send them the email?
What do I give them, beyond reassurances that they will be fine?
What about from the perspective of a new freelance developer? Should I prepare a link to a repo of uncompiled Sass files for instance?
