I haven’t built a website in many years.
I volunteer for a non-profit Backcountry Ski patrol organization. We are all volunteers but we are also medical professionals that just enjoy the outdoors. Everything is on our own time and out of our own pockets.
Our webpage [ebsp.clubexpress.com]) is subpar and outdated if you ask me. I would like to present that we update it but trying to do some research before I attempt to update it.
Things I believe we need to be able to do within the website:
Upload/download documents
User login to a forum (thinking mybb)
A way to keep track of our members and annual dues
If we teach a class or hold an event, a fashion to create available spots and purchase said available spots.
A calendar that people can subscribe to and follow events
Email subscription
Contact form
I have been exploring WIX and WordPress. I like WIX as it’s simple but not as flexible as WordPress, and I questions how I can use WIX and a PHP BB. I think I can but without a server in front of me…my brain is rusty.
I know that most of what we need is available through google suite, the CRM is new to me, and the BB is the most critical aspect as it’s a main source of communication for the organization. Open to all ideas and suggestions. Thanks.
