Hello,
I am making my website right now, and for a certain page I wanted to have a download link to a pdf in a new window. When I upload this to open in a new page, it still has the hostgator link.
Here is an example, the favicon for the site itself works just fine for all pages, favicon shows properly on google results, but the hostgator takes over for the new window that is opened.
Any tips for solving this?
Put an “ico” file called “favicon.ico” in your root directory.
As u/bluesix suggested, add the favicon in root folder.
May you will again see Hostgator logo for few more hours. It’s due to caching & will be updated automatically.
