I’m a writer trying to get a website up and running. I have little to no technical experience. I thought I’d cracked the portfolio page but after having some recent edits made to my website something seems to have happened to the look of my page.
One of my themes target groups is photographers which worked well for my portfolio. How I did it was I copied and pasted my articles into individual posts formatted properly with images then I published those and then within the portfolio section I had a portfolio section for each article with a sentence explaining what the article is about and the title which I hyperlinked to take people to the post. I had a featured image and turned off information like client, categories, skills.
Then when you click the portfolio menu tab it would have images with the titles underneath. They were decently sized and then you would click on them and all there would be would be the brief description and the hyperlink to the article and two arrows where you could go between the writing samples.
After edits were made on my website the images and titles are all too small and weirdly squished. Then when you click onto it there’s arrows all over the place and the client, categories, skills information I don’t want. As well as a a really small image of the other articles featured which needs to go.
I’m very disheartened and frustrated. I would be really grateful for some help getting this sorted. If you have any experience with this sort of thing I will send you a link to my website. I would appreciate someone getting my portfolio page back to how it should be so that I can launch my website.
