Hi there!
Hope you all are doing great 😀
I will call my self a pretty beginner in WordPress since I mostly do the frontend designing stuff, and that to mostly on WP Bakery and Salient theme only. 1.5 Year Exp.
I will try to keep it short but still try to put in all the details needed.
So I am working on a project and I am in a situation where I need to add a listing of yachts for a client.
This is what I am looking for or something similar:
[https://www.moranyachts.com/luxury-yachts-for-charter/])Here as you can see, there is a filter at the top for ‘Price’ and ‘Length’ of the Yacht and below is a list of all the Yachts that are available.
When you click on any one of the Yachts for example [https://www.moranyachts.com/luxury-yachts/ahpo/?yacht-type=luxury-yachts-charter]), a detailed page opens which I can design something similar to it using Salient Wp Bakery.
What I want to know is how can I achieve this whole functionality where I can add a Yacht, and it should have some fields like ‘Charter From’ where I can add the Price per week, and other fields like ‘Length’ and ‘Builder’. All the Yachts should be searchable and filters should work with all the fields just like the link provided. There should be an archive page for all the yachts that I have added.
Also I would like to design the inner detailed pages my self using Wp Bakery independently in case a yacht page requires to be different from the rest. Also the archive where I can edit the look of how the listing of a single yacht should look like… just like something on [https://www.moranyachts.com/luxury-yachts-for-charter/]).
Now this archive listing can be like a template where it picks the Featured or Selected Image for the thumbnail and the Price, Builder, Length from the fields automatically whenever I create a Yacht. But I would like to define its look for one time.
I will have to create 2 Separate Chains of Yachts as there will be ‘**Yachts for Charter’** and ‘**Yachts for Sale’** but both of them will be pretty same apart from the ‘Price’ and ‘Price per week’. *Just mentioning this in case this changes the situation completely.*
So what should I do to achieve this? Is this possible with WooCommerce and CSS? Should I go towards Custom Post Types and ACF which I have no idea/experience of (just have heard of them). Is there a plugin that can make this happen?
Please try to explain it at a beginner level as I really have almost no backend idea/exp. I might need some extra guidance working through this if somebody has a solution.
If there is a Youtube tutorials that can help me with this that will be great too.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Bilal.
