I’m new to WordPress and I’ve been researching how I can embed the PDF to a post. Need to display the PDF content and not just a link. I can’t seem to find a way to do it. I can’t see the “block” that the instructions are talking about. Is it because of the theme being used?

I actually just purchased PDF Embedder, the free version is more than enough for most use cases, but I got the Premium since the requirements demanded extra functionality available.
In terms of performance, it is very very good and has almost no impact on speed.
